AIM: How did the Partition of India affect the people of India and Pakistan?
ACTIVITY 1 -- DO NOW
Students will analyze a map of the Indian subcontinent before and after 1947 to predict how 1947 might be a turning point.
ACTIVITY 2 -- TEXT ANALYSIS
Students will analyze a text about the topic and answer questions. The text will include key information that scaffolds for the lesson.
ACTIVITY 3 -- PRIMARY SOURCE ANALYSIS
Students will analyze a primary source document about the topic and answer questions.
ACTIVITY 4 -- ASSESSMENT
Students will choose one of two options for assessment to submit on looseleaf.

Students will watch a quick video linked from YouTube for visual differentiation and answer questions.
